The stage had all the fun of a broadway play. A large stage full of actors singing Stephen Fosters songs and acting out his early story. A must do while in Bardstown.

The show was moved to the high school auditorium due to thunderstorms; nonetheless, the cast sang their hearts out and really put on a memorable show. The talent on display is totally worth a visit to Bardstown. Thank you to all the cast for giving my husband I a delightful evening ‼️

The Stephen Foster Story is a summer tradition in Bardstown, Kentucky, and a personal favorite for many. Performed outdoors at My Old Kentucky Home State Park, it brings the life of Stephen Foster to the stage with his famous songs like Oh! Susanna and My Old Kentucky Home. The lively performances, beautiful costumes, and nostalgic tunes make it a special experience you won’t forget.

The music and costuming were top notch. We had a perfect night of weather for the last presentation of the 2024 season. The Ampitheater is a perfect venue for this musical about Stephen Foster's rise to fame.
