This is the second time that we have stayed at this property. The biggest difference that we saw between our 2019 stay and this 2026 stay was the change in the neighborhood. The area has gone through a significant update. We found that the Red Roof Inn was clean, safe and well cared for. If you’re looking for a nice, affordable and clean place to stay, this is it. We were there to attend a graduation at the Yum! KFC center. The center is about 7 miles away. It was easy to drive there on multi freeways. Ess than a 10 minute drive. Also, it’s important to tell that there are many restaurants to chose from. There’s a Walmart Supercenter with a gas station just a mile away.All in all, I was impressed with the cleanliness of our room and the great condition of the room furniture. It’s not a five star suite, but it’s clean, safe and convenient.

I don’t even know where to begin. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn Fair and Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, and it was hands down one of the most disgusting hotel experiences I’ve ever had. First, they charged me a $50 deposit—fine, if the room had actually been in decent condition. Instead, the moment I opened the door, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke and marijuana. It was nauseating.The condition of the room was absolutely appalling. The ceiling was literally falling apart, and there was black mold clearly visible—how this place is even allowed to operate is beyond me. The bathroom was filthy: the floor was covered in black grime and someone else’s hair. It was obvious nothing had been cleaned before I checked in.Let me guess—this review will be met with the same copy-and-paste, generic “We’re sorry for your unpleasant stay. We strive to provide a quality experience…” response that every other bad review here gets. It’s clear this place has no intention of actually fixing anything or taking guest concerns seriously. If they did, the same issues wouldn’t keep showing up in review after review.This place is a serious health hazard and a total scam. Charging people extra just to walk into a mold-infested, smoke-saturated dump? Shameful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

After reading some of the reviews I was afraid to stay here, but I had already paid and it is nonrefundable. I was pleasantly surprised as the room was very clean, very quiet all night long, and the office staff was very professional. My pet peeve in motels is low water pressure, but in our room it was as strong as a car wash!! I was very happy with that, and the Waffle House was right outside our door. Most importantly, it was a simple 2 mile drive to the KY Expo Center. It was a good experience and we would stay here again.

Room was dirty. Looked to be blood stains on bathroom wall and side of dresser. Parking lot was full of loitering kids all hours of the night. Felt uneasy and unsafe. Light bulb was out over sink. Was originally reserved for 2 nights, but checked out after 1. Do not stay here.

Great room for the money. Very clean. Comfy bed. Ac worked great. Stay on Waffle House side. Elevator worked which was great since we was on the second floor. No smoke smell in the room. No fridge in king room but otherwise everything we was looking for
