Experience the Gilded Age at the Brown Hotel, a historic hotel of America that was built in 1923. The striking lobby, with its architectural details and beautiful hand-painted ceiling is simply magnificent and the elegantly furnished rooms offer modern amenities with a touch of Old Kentucky elegance. The hotel's signature restaurant, English Grill, has won numerous awards and is a highly rated dining option in the city. J. Graham's Cafe is a casual dining option that serves breakfast and bistro-style meals while the property as a whole offers perfect surroundings for personal as well as business events.

tripadvisorWe arrived very late and had called the hotel to let them know we were arriving at midnight. The message was properly relayed and the hotel was expecting us. We had reserved a suite with a parlor. Very large and useful for our business meetings. Breastfast was excellent, so too was the service. We had a very enjoyable stay and did not experience any issues. The staff at the Brown was extremely pleasant and professional. Really liked the old world charm!
MoreMy husband and I wanted to take my dad on a trip back to his old Kentucky home. We mapped out lots of places that held special memories. I thought it would be nice to take him to breakfast at the Brown Hotel and we we told him, he said that’s where he had his prom in 1956 an went on and on about how beautiful the it was! Well long story short, we ended up booking a room for a night. To say he was over the moon is putting it mildly! He said he will always cherish this memory ❤️ The staff went out of their way in so many ways. It was clean, well maintained and the food was amazing too! Thank you!
MoreOnly slightly haunted. The hotel is gorgeous! The food and drinks…amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The problem was with the mattress. And pillows. Rock hard mattress and flat pillows. They all might’ve been original to the building…they were that awful. Took two days to work out the kinks in my back. Will definitely be back for the food and drink, unsure about another sleepover though.
MoreI visited The Brown Hotel with my sister Pam last week. This was our annual sisters trip and it did not disappoint. The accommodations and staff were top-notch. I would highly recommend this wonderful spot
MoreWe had a wonderful stay at the Brown Hotel. The decor is very finely crafted, the room was spacious and so comfortable, and the restaurant was great. DON’T miss looking around on the 3 lower floors at all the history of the hotel and also check out the view from the roof. We were in Louisville while on a Midwest road trip and only stayed one night. Wish it had been longer…Louisville offers a lot of fun sounding things to do.
