Yellow Cab of Louisville traces its origins to 1893 when it began as the Louisville Carriage Company. Throughout the years, we have merged with other local transportation companies and undergone several name changes. Yellow Cab and its sister companies, Cardinal Cab and Checker Cab are locally owned. Yellow Cab is the oldest and largest taxicab service in the Greater Louisville area with approximately 230 taxi cabs. Today, Yellow Cab is a division of PROCARENT and an integral part of locally owned Interlock Industries. In 2003, PROCARENT acquired United Transportation Company Inc. (UTI) in Lexington. As the largest taxicab service in Lexington, Yellow Cab and Wildcat Cab has more than 90 taxis in its fleet. Our mission is, "To be the preferred transportation provider in our communities by providing safe, compassionate and courteous service while exceeding the needs of our customers and employees, one partnership at a time!" Proudly Serving Louisville since 1893
