tripadvisorMet our son for his birthday in Louisville and wanted something fun and memorable to do. This was perfect! There were 4 of us that participated in making three bowls and a pumpkin. They were absolutely gorgeous! Everyone had a great time. The owner was very patent with us answering all of our questions. It was a very memorable experience. So much fun, that I'm going to bring my Boy Scout troop from 4 hours away for an outing.
MoreThey are extremely welcoming and friendly. My wife and I loved it. Well worth the visit. We learned a ton about glass blowing from this small, family owned business.
MoreThis glass blowing shop was worth every minute we spent there. We took the full tour which included going into the glass blowing area for an up close experience. Michael the owner made a glass bowl and explained every step and welcomed any and all questions. We had a group of adults that asked a lot of questions and Michael was eager to answer and chat while making the glass piece. His wife was also so inviting and helpful when we made purchases. There was no push to purchase anything but we love the glass art we purchased. If you have children, they will be amazed by this experience. Beautiful showroom and a great way for our family to end our vacation experience. So glad we chose this shop. Highly recommend!!
MoreThis place wasn’t on our itinerary but we saw it on a brochure map we picked up at our hotel and since we had a little time to spare we drove to it. It is a little off the beaten path but not too far from the IH65 expressway. We were greeted as soon as we entered and they offered for us to watch glass being blown and took us to a small viewing hallway. There were two men who began to blow the glass and we watched for a short while as one of them created a business card holder. Then we walked down another short hallway which had all types of blown glass art and objects to see and buy. Coming back out into the main portion there were several shelves which displayed even more beautiful glass artwork in an assortment of colors. If you find yourself in the vicinity of this little shop and have an interest in hand blown glassware, stop in and visit.
MorePulled off I65 N for a snack and saw the little sign for Fire Studio and Gallery ... we decided to check it out ... and were glad we did! The shop has a assortment of colorful works large and small, all of which are reasonably priced. The glassblower was eating lunch, otherwise we would have been able to watch him in his creative endeavors! We purchased a glistening, contemporary oil lamp for an upcoming birthday gift there ... we would never have found anything like it at the mall! Definitely worth driving a short mile out of the way to experience.
