Oxmoor Center is located in the suburb of Norwood, which is about 25-minutes away from downtown Louisville. The mall contains most of the chains you've heard of, such as Macy's, Gap, H&M and an "Only in the Midwest" department store like Von Maur. If you don't find what you're looking for at this mall, jump over the Henry Watterson Expressway and visit the Mall St. Matthews.

tripadvisorMemories of my childhood. Shout out to Abraham Lincoln elementary alumni. Louisville will always be close to me.
MoreLouisville’s more upscale mall of the two on Shelbyville Rd. We were in town for New Years and decided to do a lil shopping the before heading out to dinner. We hit up both of the local malls and I quickly realized that the Oxmoor Center is the more upscale shopping of the two. While I’d does have an H & M, the majority of the stores were not those that the everyday shopping would be purchasing at. The mall had minimal vacancies, and it was very clean. The Van Mour store was closed up early for the holiday eve.
MoreSadly the pandemic has had an effect on our leading mall. There are stores still closed due to Covid plus some dark and empty spots. Starbucks is still closed and right next to it is the vacant storefront of the Disney Store that recently went under. It’s a dark, depressing sight. I was actually going to get a new charger at the Apple Store but guess what? Closed until further notice. It looks deserted at the present. Not a pretty sight.
MoreThere’s a Macy’s, Brighton’s, Lego store, Von Maur, Apple Store, Old Navy, Starbucks, etc. It’s clean, bright and airy with a good deal of parking. The exception is during the holidays when it’s brutal everywhere. Unlike many malls there’s really not a food court to speak of but there are some restaurants here. That’s not a major problem for me since I don’t generally eat at malls.
MoreOxmoor still has a few good stores, like Apple, Disney Store & Lego. Von Maur has a piano player in the middle of the store, making for an enjoyable experience. While the food choices aren't like they used to be, when there was a food court on the upper level (which no longer exists), there's still some good choices like California Pizza Kitchen, BJs and Panera Bread. Hoping that TopGolf will be able to locate in the old Sears and make Oxmoor even better.
