Louisville Marriott East is a great accommodation choice in the bedroom community of Forest Hills. The hotel pampers its guests by providing all possible amenities, whether it's a business traveler or a family, this Marriott has a number of facilities like conference rooms, childcare facilities, swimming pools, a fully equipped gym and much, much more. The dining options at the hotel include Charr'd Bourbon Kitchen and Lounge as well as more casual dining in the Day Bar.

tripadvisorI probably spent 20 nights in this hotel this year. I love Marriott hotels, but this one is just average. The kitchen is my disappointment. I tried their dinner at least three occasions, and it’s not keeping up with Marriott standards. My filet mignon was just average on the blizzre risotto with some sticks in it. Salmon was a bit better but nothing special. Today was the worse, heirloom tomatoes salad that was made of regular tomatoes with pretty much no taste. So, I will continue ordering Uber Eats. however this is lost business and customer experience opportunity.
MoreI stayed at the Marriott Louisville East for two nights on August 18th and 19th. While the first night was fine, the second night was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a Marriott property. When I returned to my room (313) around 6:30 p.m. on the second night, the entire room smelled strongly of raw sewage. I immediately requested a room change and was moved to room 717. Unfortunately, that room also had serious issues: there were visible blood stains on the sheets, and the air conditioning barely worked. The room never got cold, even after hours of running the unit. Housekeeping did bring new sheets, but the overall condition of the room was far below Marriott standards. The next morning, I informed the front desk associate of everything that had happened. She told me she would speak with the manager and let me know what could be done. I never received a call back. I called Friday, Saturday, and today leaving multiple messages for the manager, Maritza, and never received a response. I finally reached her today, and while she apologized, she stated that nothing could be done because I was part of a conference group rate. She offered 10,000 reward points, but only 3,000 points were actually added to my account. As someone who works in customer service, I can confidently say this situation was handled very poorly. The lack of follow‑up, the condition of the rooms, and the dismissive resolution do not reflect the level of service Marriott claims to provide. I will be returning to the area in December for another conference, but I will not be staying at this hotel—or any Marriott property—based on this experience. The hotel is in desperate need of updates, especially the rooms, and management should take these concerns seriously.
MoreWay overpriced for the amenities!!! Breakfast $18 for a worse than McDona;ds week old hashbrown! Then I was charged $101.38 on my credit card for what nobody can tell me! Now I have to take a copy or pic of the charge and send a email to explain what the problem is!!! NEVER ever again! The hot tub/ jacuzzi in the pool area was empty and filthy, the chlorine gave everyone a headache and the buzzing sound with what I think was music was extremely annoying! The rm furniture is old and the bathroom trim by shower has water damage and dirt all over it!
MoreWe stayed at the Louisville Marriott East during Derby weekend and had a terrific experience overall. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were perfectly clean and very comfortable. The bed, in particular, was excellent—exactly what you need after long days out and about. What really stood out was the service. The staff went above and beyond, with thoughtful touches throughout the Derby weekend that made the stay feel special. The atmosphere was lively but still relaxed, and we especially enjoyed the live music in the evenings.Logistics were also easy—parking was simple and convenient, and we had no service issues at all during our stay.Overall, this is a dependable, well-run hotel with outstanding service. I would highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Louisville for Derby weekend.
MoreThis is my go-to location for Marriott properties in Louisville. It's a great location and the hotel is always impeccably clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The Charr'd restaurant has very good food and the service from David and the rest of the bar staff is outstanding.Above all, the main reason I come here is because I find the concierge lounge is extremely comfortable and relaxing and the breakfast experience is always outstanding, specifically due to Nikki's attention to detail, service, and her accommodating personality which is addictive! In the evening, Addis is also an extremely friendly and generous host!
