Reviews
tripadvisorWe recently stayed at the Hilton Lexington during a short family vacation. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat disappointing, beginning with check-in. First (and this is more of a Hilton corporate issue), we were presented with a $50 early check-in fee (which we chose to bypass by walking around the downtown area for an hour). More disappointing, however, was the reception we received from the front desk staff, who came across as rather indifferent and unwelcoming. Not exactly the warm welcome you hope for when arriving at a hotel. The room itself was reasonably spacious, with a comfortable bed and a very nice, large TV. However, the bathroom was noticeably dated and cramped, with barely enough clearance for the door to open without nearly hitting the toilet. The room also had a Peloton exercise bike positioned somewhat awkwardly in the middle of the available space, which seemed like an odd use of the room.To be fair, not all of our interactions with the staff were disappointing. The maintenance gentleman we encountered was friendly and helpful, as were the employees at the hotel's Triangle Grille restaurant. Self-parking in the attached garage was convenient and reasonably priced compared with valet parking. The room was also relatively quiet, and the coffee and other basic amenities were fine.We chose this Hilton primarily for its convenient downtown location, and the overall price was reasonable. Still, the experience fell short of our expectations, particularly the lackluster front desk service and the condition of the bathroom. There were some positives, but overall, we left feeling that the hotel could use some attention to both its facilities and its customer service.
MoreJust returned from a 4 night stay here. This is an older property that could use a bit of a refresh but overall it was fine. THE NEGATIVE: Housekeeping was spotty. It seemed clean overall, but there were issues every day such as forgetting to service the room, forgetting to leave towels & forgetting to leave toilet paper. The A/C didn't actually cool the room very much but they did bring in a fan. THE POSITIVE: This location puts you in the center of walkable downtown Lexington. Plenty of great restaurants & drinking holes very close. Plus, the airport shuttle was very nice.
MoreStayed here for 2 nights as part of a Bourbon Trail trip. This is an old hotel that needs remodeling. I will say the beds are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Not sure how valet fits in as there was never an offer to help with luggage or an offer to get a cart (there were 4 of us traveling together) They were more concerned with chatting amongst themselves. This was noticed on several occasions during our trip. Our room was nice enough, except there was bar soap left in the shower from a previous guest. I did report this to the front desk, and they were sympathetic and said they would look into it. If this was all, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. The 2nd day dirty glasses were left by housekeeping and not replaced and coffee not refilled. If all you're looking for is a business hotel to rest your head in a good location, it's nice enough, but the repeated issues got to be a bit much. we'll probably be looking at other options if we return to Lexington
