We saw this the other day as we drove by it. Well maintained or restored mansion. Nice to see old buildings preserved

This restored home on the corner of Court Street and Arlington Avenue in Reno was designed by local architect Frederic J. DeLongchamps. It was constructed in 1913 and was known then as the Gibbons Mansion. In 1921, it was purchased by the prominent Nevada divorce lawyer, Pat McCarran, who would latter serve as Democratic U.S. Senator from Nevada from 1933 to 1954. McCarran sold the home in 1937.

Just south of the river, this beautiful home sits right on the corner of two now busy streets. It's very well kept and beautifully restored, though now it is a business space instead of a residence. Lots of history about this home and it's residence can be found on line, but it's worth a walk or drive by if you're out and about in Reno
