tripadvisorWhat is not to like about this store? A tremendous selection of most things you would look for as a tourist. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, all sorts of clothing, mugs, glasses, souvenirs, etc. Prices were competitive for the area and it's located right on the main drag across from the waterfront. Very friendly staff. Get ready to browse and spend some money.
MoreI hadn't been to this store in a while. We loved looking at all the recent merchandise. They had tons of shirts, hats, and all kinds of other clothing and items. Their tees are very creative and humorous, and hundreds had a Maine theme (good for the dozens of tourists from the two cruise ships in town who were also shopping when we were there). Their clothing is very good quality and very worth the price. They also have a great children's section.
MoreI've been to the Life is Good store in Portsmouth several times, but I think this spot has a lot more character and a better display layout than the one in Portsmouth. They have a great selection of clothing with interesting graphics, and most of it is all 'Life is Good' themed, but not all. I liked the sweatshirt with the very-popular-these-days 'WTF' monogram, but with a fish illustration and the words, 'Where's the Fish'. Clever. Their clothing is a little pricy but most of it is made with quality cotton fiber. They had a great sale when I went. Life is Good has some nostalgia for me because its CEO was the commencement speaker at my son's college graduation and gave a very inspiring, funny, and memorable speech while throwing (and retrieving) a big rubber beach ball at the students -- not the kind of speech you forget!
MoreThe store had a wide selection of products for men and Women, more than we had seen in other stores. The Staff person who helped us was so friendly and helpful. We ask for a specific type of shirt and she gave us several choices. We were so blessed to have found the store.
MoreI like the messages on Life is Good apparel, but not at $26 for a short-sleeve t-shirt. I am unsure if this store carries the same Life is Good clothing you can get at other stores, but of all the T-shirts I have bought, these don't last long. Almost all of them start fraying around the collars way too soon. In comparison, I bought a tourist t-shirt while visiting St Simon Island in Georgia, and it's still fine and wearable 8 years later. I have thrown out all my Life Is Good shirts.
