Not considered as an architectural masterpiece, City Center opened to mixed reviews in the early 1980s and has gone through a number of face lifts over the years. It was under renovation till fall 2005. Comprised of an office, hotel and shopping complex, City Center was the first enclosed, suburban-style shopping mall downtown.
