tripadvisorNeat artsy district. Room is pretty comfortable but not all the desk staff are very friendly. Pay attention to the elevators because they have different floors and levels to the parking garage and everything. Valet parking is optional. Sink and shower seemed a little stopped up.
MoreWe booked this hotel for a last minute overnight to Cleveland with the kids. We used Marriott points to book it. We had confirmation of a room with 2 queen beds (for a family of 4). We arrived around 11pm after making the drive there and were told at check-in that they didn’t have any rooms with 2 beds left. The person at check in left to see what they could do for us and we were looking up other hotels because we figured we would have to stay elsewhere. When they returned, they said there was a “mix-up” with their system but they have 1 more 2 queen bed room left (thankfully). Upon initially booking, we requested a room on the lowest level possible (due to medical reasons). We are loyal Marriott customers and these requests are almost always honored for us. Considering we were lucky to get the last room they had, it was on the second highest floor which isn’t what we wanted. That being said- it was only for one night so we made it work. The room was very spacious with a beautiful view of Port Cleveland, lighthouses, cruise ship and Lake Erie. Only real complaint was one of the room darkening shade buttons was busted so it was stuck in one spot and let in a lot of light once morning came. They have a little breakfast nook in the lobby where you can get breakfast sandwiches. They were pretty good! We just paid to do the valet parking because it seemed easier. It’s kind of strange set-up…one set of elevators from the street level up to the hotel lobby and then more elevators from lobby to the room. Nice location not far from the Flats as well as not far from Browns stadium, science center, rock and roll hall of fame etc. Would recommend.
MoreThere was a band playing outside the hotel, it was so loud my room was uninhabitable. I was in the middle of an exhausting work trip and desperately needed some rest. The front desk would not transfer me to another room on the other side of the building. They gave some earplugs and a white noise machine which did very little to combat the noise. I resorted to attempting to relax in the lobby where there was loud music and flashing lights yet still a more inhabitable environment than my room.
MoreHigh praise for the next level hospitality I received. It started with emails prior to my stay which provided important information regarding parking and directions to Aloft. Each person from valet guys, front desk staff and additional support staff along with the manager, Romin. Additionally, the shuttle service offered is a huge benefit!
MoreGood hotel on the East bank of downtown Cleveland.Wide room with king size comfortable bed.Everything very clean.Free wifi.Restaurants nearby and downtown pedestrian area at a walkable distance. Most of the staff kind and professional.Stunning Gym complimentary..To be improved - The first day wasn’t possible to have breakfast because the only person in charge didn’t show. This is unacceptable for such a hotel.- Rooms are not soundproof and you can clearly hear the train whistle and the unpolite guests laughing and yelling at 2.00am.
