Known as the second oldest park in the city, Schiller Park is tucked away in the German Village area of Columbus. A sprawling 23.45 acres, the park features lush foliage, picnic and gazebo area, playground, fishing pond, basketball and tennis courts, baseball diamond, walking trails and recreation center. The park was temporarily renamed during World War II when anti-German sentiment was widely popular in the United States.

tripadvisorA great place to get some peace from the busy city sounds. Lots of Shaniqua artwork and history throughout. Nice little play area and basketball court for the kids. In walking distance or many solid places to eat.
MoreI liked Schiller park a lot! There’s so much greenery and the pond with artwork installed around is so beautiful! There are so many geese near the pond. The park wasn’t very crowded when I visited. They have lots of seating area in the park. There were a few monuments in the park too. The theater in the park really stood out to me! I wish I could have seen the Shakespeare play at the theatre. In terms of artwork, the umbrella girl statue was so beautiful!
MoreLots of bluegill but still fun trying to get those trout! I think we caught 100 25 little bluegill! Nomore night crawlers because of the gills!
MoreAverage trip. We arrived at approximately 8 am and made our way towards the entrance of the park. We opted to walk the perimeter of the park. The trail was relatively easy and consisted of walking on a flat, even surface for a majority of the walk. We did pass by a small pond with a water fountain feature. There was a decent amount of green space in the park, and there were quite a few people out and about with their animals.Tip: I recommend spending 30 minutes here if you truly want to see everything.
MoreThis is a beautiful, clean park with sculptures, fountains, and gardens. It was very peaceful and relaxing to sit and enjoy the fall day.
