The Columbus Topiary Garden is a topiary garden unlike any other. Whereas the average topiary garden collects a bunch of random figures doing random things, this one is a unified work. It recreates Georges Seurat's classic painting 'A Sunday on the Island of La Grande Jatte' in three-dimensional shrubberies. Each life-size figure plays the part of a figure in the painting, and it is marvelous. An on-site museum will fill you in on the history of the park, the Old Deaf School and the surrounding neighborhood.

tripadvisorThe park is a good inclusion when planning a day visit to Columbus. Unfortunately, there was a severe wind storm the day prior to our visit so there were several downed trees and branches, but we could still enjoy matching the topiaries to the painting. My only suggestion is to add more signs with the painting at the different viewpoints of the topiaries.
Moreubered to topiary park from hotel. spent about an hour there wandering around the lovely park enjoying the plantings and the numerous geese families (watch where you step) there were interesting murals nearby. left as the rain began to the columbus art museum, walking distance
MoreThis was my first time visiting the Topiary Park, and it is absolutely beautiful! The plants are shaped like humans and animals, which looks so cute and whimsical. There are so many of these creative topiaries that I couldn’t stop admiring them. The garden was peaceful and not very crowded, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed stroll. In addition to the topiaries, there are lots of beautiful flowering plants. You can even have a picnic lunch in the shade and spend a lovely amount of time soaking in the scenery. A delightful spot for nature and garden lovers!
MoreWell maintained park. The topiaries were outstanding. Interesting concept. Parking can be a problem. Good introduction on the main sign.
MoreNice little park with topiaries themes for the famous Seurat painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. Very realistic. Placard explaining the theme. Pretty flowers in area
