Plan a trip with your family or the kids to the Imagination Station, a science museum, so that you can have a fun family time around several constructive science activities. The museum showcases many exhibits related to science and technology. Let the kids participate in the various events hosted by the museum to get a closer look at science differently. The main aim of the museum is to educate students about the wonders of science, therefore, many field trips are also organized.

tripadvisorThis place surprised us! We visited with our 2 kids (13 and 11) and I was a bit concerned it would be too small and maybe cater to younger kids. But we spent 3 and a half hours here and both my kids loved it! There were many hands on exhibits and the illusions area was a huge hit. We didn't do any add-ons like the theater and still spent so much time here. The new Traveling Bricks exhibit was amazing! The only complaint was with the cafe. We stopped by around 12:30, so seemingly prime lunch hour, and the only options in the hot food area were 2 slices of pizza and some mac and cheese despite a whole list of hot food items available. We asked the exceedingly friendly lady working the cash register if we needed to order what we wanted or just had to wait for it to be brought out. She wasn't sure as she said it was just her second day but she asked the lady working in the kitchen and that lady made it seem like what they had is what they had and that if she had to make something else, it would be a big inconvenience to her. So we just bought pre-packaged stuff (think lunchables) that you can buy in any supermarket. On the plus side, the meal for the 4 of us was about a 1/3 of the price of a hot meal at a different museum the day before. Maybe the cafe is better if you go on a weekend when its busier than the middle of the week in October.
MoreMy son visited the Imagination Station on a field trip for summer camp. While there his group was followed around by an employee who yelled at them a snatched toys from their hands. When I brought this issue up to management they made excuses for the employees actions and basically said it did not happen (although multiple camp councilors and kids witnessed his actions). My child is now terrified and I will not be back. I would never recommend visiting here.
MoreWe spent about 3 hours here and honestly could have spent more time. My 4 year old was entertained and enjoyed exploring everything the space had to offer. My only qualm is there is not parking super close but we were able to be dropped off at the door easily.
MoreOur kiddos enjoyed it (teens/pre-teens) but I feel like they would’ve loved it when they were younger! Their favorite part was the science demonstration.
MoreKids love it and call it a very happy place. The bike is a must see! The flight simulator is awesome. My young, aspiring, pilot loved that he got multiple chances to rides it...as the lines were reasonable, even on the weekends. He only suggests that some work on the yoke. It turns left or right after take off this is his biggest gripe, so clearly, Imagination Station is pretty awesome. My other baby lived the optical illusions and how mental perception is so easily challenged with small changes to a room or fabric or glass. This is how learning should be. Fun, exciting, limitless! Niw if we could get the prices just a little bit cheaper Be prepared to walk. Parking is close but nit always as close as one would want it. Staff are pretty cool. They have a snack shop, but we always opt to just got to lunch or dinner at a restaurant after a visit. A definite must see.
