Hotel was excellent and we loved the room. Xavier and Susannah were great getting us checked in and the stay was wonderful. Spokane is beautiful in the fall and the river views off the room balcony were top notch.

Downfalls were large bags of trash left at vending machine and at ice machine, towels left scattered at the end of the hall for over 12 hours, and daily room service not completed.

The bed was wonderfully comfy, the shower was a highlight, and my room happened to have a balcony set apart from the others, which felt like a quiet retreat inside a very large building. I usually decline housekeeping for stays under a week, a habit that keeps me tidier than I am at home, and the room held up nicely on its own.For a hotel of this size, the Centennial does an impressive job hosting diverse groups at once, and the conference ran smoothly from my perspective as an attendee. The restaurant was good, and the staff throughout, including the banquet and catering teams, were lovely. I started each morning with the Davenport Breakfast and was happy with it every day.To be honest, I missed a bit of the personal recognition you get at a smaller boutique property like Pali. That's the trade-off with a place that has multiple towers, ballrooms, and constant events. Here my room was more spacious and comfortable, and while both hotels offer room service, the styles are very different. The interior décor isn't quite my taste, though there's clearly a theme behind it.Weighing charm, style, and personal service against a large hotel this well run is a tough call. Overall, my stay was lovely and restful, and it made a great home base for the conference.
