Be prepared to pay to go to this park. It's $4 for car and $2 for bikes. The area has a nice trail and leads right to the pebble shore. The Refuge is a long way away from civilization but I suppose that's what makes it unique and more desirable to go to. In addition, wear appropriate clothing as it is not the ticks, but the flies that try to suck your blood. In addition, wear appropriate footwear as the shore is very rocky and uneven. Thank you.

great trail for summer and winter (dress warm!). Parking lot is paved (honor system payment). Trail is very comfortable and easy to navigate for hiking, even with strollers. there are several short loop trails and one longer that goes all the way to east beach.

It’s a fantastic set of trails. Great wildlife and a wonderful way to spend a morning in nature. Start at the fee part and walk the trails. Totally worth it.

We finally went hiking in Target Rock, and were so pleasantly surprised: quiet, clean, well-marked trails and signs, and beautiful views.

Beautiful woods. Trail leads to beach. Places to sit along the way, and benches overlooking beach. Bathrooms by parking lot.
