Would give 0 stats if I could. Both the website and the price sign behind the ticket counter say they are an ASTC reciprocal museum, but the guy said that was just for Boonshoft and not for sunwatch even though they're part of the same thing...Definitely some false advertising going on here. The indooor museum itself is not great---over half the displays have black tarps covering everything due to the fed gov law about showing Native American artifacts. The outdoor village walk through has 2 huts to look at, some posts depicting where other items in the village were located as well as some very faded signs about the history of the place. Save your time and money and skip this one.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 11 am and made our way towards the entrance of the museum. After paying the admission fee, we began to explore the museum. There were numerous artifacts out for display, as well as informational plaques, detailing what we were seeing in front of us. The museum was quite small and we got through it rather quickly. There was a short video playing that went over the excavation process of the site. After viewing the museum, we went outside where we explored the outdoor exhibits. There were recreations of several huts, and we were able to view them from both the inside and out. There were additional informational plaques located outside as well.Tip: I recommend spending 1 hour here if you truly want to see everything.

Sunwatch does offer senior discount and another $0.50 off if you are a AAA member our tickets was $ 5.50 each. We were there for about an hour. It was interesting. The must do is to read exhibits or watch the video prior to walking outside to the site. Everything is self-tour. This is purely exhibits, not a site with people living there. Got that as a question afterwards. Sunwatch does have 1 Pow Wow a year. Lots of parking. Small gift shop. No food or drinks available. Walking outside is on gravel .

Small, but very nice, visitor center. The re-created village behind the visitor center is extremely interesting! More people need to visit this site!

Sunwatch is so worth the visit, to learn of local Indian history, along with a reasonable admission fee, and knowledgeable staff.
