tripadvisorThis hotel is old and could use a lot of repair. The bathroom floor was partly ripped, the bath tub facuet was corroded, the sink faucet was corroded and broken but still working. The wall was patched but not painted. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. The pool was ok.
MoreThe room was very clean and updated. Quiet. The reason we were there was because my partially paralyzed son was have a same day in and out surgery early in the morning. We live 3 hours south of Indy, so we went up the night before. The young man Justin working the front desk was very friendly and went above and beyond by helping me get my son into bed since the bed was higher than his wheelchair. It would have been very difficult at best without Justin's help. I cannot speak loudly enough as to what a friendly customer serving priented young man he was for my son and I.
MoreI was not looking for a resort hotel, just a place with a bed and a shower, while I attended a convention in town. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. The included Continental breakfast was an added bonus. Nothing fancy, but for the price I did not expect it to be.
MoreI suggest you pick a different motel than this one. This is maybe a last choice option but I’d rather sleep in my car like a junkie did one night I was there. It’s 2 floors with no elevators so don't bring a lot with you. I guess this is meant for a quick visit type of place. The entire first floor rooms smell like an old basement from the city. Me and another teammate had to switch our rooms since we were both on the first floor. It had a mildew type of smell. It didn’t smell like it was heathy for me to be in there. The 2nd floor room didn’t have a smell but was also in poor condition. Black stains on the lamp shades, water stains and cracks on ceiling. I check my mattresses at these places and when I did it wasn’t good. It appeared to be blood stains all over one of the mattress covers. My room had two beds. Calcium buildup was on shower head, toe nail clippings on the rug. There wasn’t an ironing board in the room so I used the bed. The problem here is the iron turned out not to work so I had to work with a dress shirt on that looked like it just came out my suitcase. I was there for three nights and no one cleaned my room. There is no where to sit outside. There were people sleeping in a car outside in the parking lot one night. Very sketchy. The workout room has no AC so I guess that’s cool if you’re trying to lose weight fast. One night, there was an intense sewage smell on the first floor. I could keep on going but trust me it was bad. Only positive was I did not see any bugs or rodents. I was actually surprised. I’d say this place is just dirty. No quality at all in cleaning this place. If you are dirty person, this is your place… Enjoy…
MoreHello! Checked into this beautiful, quaint Hotel on the 5th of July. After a very long Amtrak ride from the West. Didn't know what to expect on first visit, but was pleasantly surprised by the well-mannered staff, great, clean accomodations, & friendly atmosphere. They even had sweet treats out for guests & food & drink for sale in the Lobby. Stayed for over a week & had no issues. 10/10 would stay again! Thank you, Zachary (I think that's how you spell it!), & other staff at the front desk. Amazing Housecleaners, as well! ✨
