Room floors were atrocious; corners of room didn't appear to have ever been cleaned. Toilet was so loose on floor, you had to be careful you didn't fall off. Hair dryer was inoperable. Hinges on bathroom door were bent so door wouldn't close. Behind the door was a wad of used tissue paper. Towels were so thread bare it was like using cotton sheets to dry off. Wash clothes had been washed but were so grease stained they were difficult to get past. Charged credit card a $100 deposit on top of the room fee. Took 5 days for that fee to be refunded. Looks like renovation is taking place so maybe it will get better.

Checked in and left within the hour. The room was in rough shape—no TV remote, no working main lights, and the phone wasn’t even plugged into the wall. The bathroom light was the only one that worked. The parking lot felt unsafe with expensive gear in our trunk, and when we brought our concerns to the front desk, the attendant became hostile and gave us a clearly fake name: “Greg Smith.” No refund was offered, despite us bringing this up right away. We booked through RedRoof.com and will be filing a chargeback. Do not stay here.

Go anywhere else but here!! The room absolutely reeked of marijuana. I stayed for 2 nights and never saw any cleaning services. The towels were all stained with something black. The room was disgusting and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I actually ended up cutting my vacation short because of the state of the room. I called corporate and they called the property manager and got back on the phone with me and basically said “the property manager said you aren’t being truthful”. I came straight home and washed everything. I haven’t seen any evidence of bed bug bites, but I’m pretty sure I got athletes foot from the shower.EDIT: Corporate reached out to management and basically replied back to me to let me know that I was being dishonest about my review and said there was nothing they could do. I have reported this to the BBB

Short version: horribly rude staff, disgusting property, room stank of cigarette smokeLong version: For over a decade, when I travel with my dogs, I always stay at a Red Roof Inn. They aren't fancy, but they're generally clean, affordable, and I appreciate their pet-friendliness. I almost always have two dogs with me when I stay, and I have never encountered a problem. My husband and I decided to stay at the Castleton location to avoid a long night-shift commute after a very late medical appointment. We brought our two well-behaved dogs with us without thinking twice. First, Red Roof now requires a $100 deposit upon check-in for incidentals. I paid the deposit, and the clerk (I am assuming he is the owner) gave us our key without asking us any questions.Second, the room smelled like smoke, even though the property is supposedly smoke-free. I didn't complain, but it was disgusting that ALL of our belongings reeked like cigarette smoke when we left. Third, there was so much animal waste on the property's green space that it was almost impossible to walk in the grass with our dogs. Completely disgusting. Finally, the owner and another employee (a son or other relative, I'm guessing), came banging on our door after 7pm. I had been sleeping for my upcoming night shift, so it was jarring to be awoken like that. They asked me how many dogs I had, to which I said two, and they told me that the property only allows one dog. The owner then shouted at me, accused me of lying to them, saying I told him at check-in I had no pets, when he never even asked me about pets. They said no dogs were allowed in the room I was in, and they proceeded to force us to check out immediately because I had 2 dogs. The owner continued shouting after I said no one asked me about any pets, and said they ask everyone. I find this amusing, as the man in the room next to me also had a dog with him.Because of this horrible family, I will never stay at a Red Roof again. I will pay the extra money to stay in a nicer facility, on a clean property, with employees who don't ambush you and shout and who cannot produce their own policies in writing.I will admit, however, that there is a line in the fine print which says only 1 pet is allowed per room. My mistake, even though my dogs are great and I clean up after them!

The staff is friendly and accommodating.Rooms are clean and toiletries are provided. The appliances, plumbing and electric all work fine.l have stayed at this Red Roof for a few weeks without any issues.Location and price makes it a good decision to stay here imo.
