tripadvisorWhat a hidden gem, downtown Michigan City (nor far from lighthouse mall). small theatre, community style, very economical. Very small foyer and auditorium. You can reserve online or call number. Do 4-5 plays per year ... comedy or drama. If u cut out (and you must cut out) coupon from website u can save $4 on two tickets. You can be a patron (pay a fee) and get free tickets while supporting theater). We saw Gilligan's Island this summer (different and cute), plus just saw Four Old Broads - hiliarious. There's some talent here! The theatre itself is small, plastic chairs and could use a little sprucing up, but is very old building. Most everyone working/volunteering there are super friendly. Do a 50/50 raffle for in between intermission. Whole thing is about 2.5 hours. Well worth the price. During intermission they offer cans of pop, bottles of water, candy bars, chips, etc. for free will offering. Put out a nice playbill for your reading. You should try it. Do a christma show also
MoreThey do a nice job with the plays they select. It is nice to see area talent doing what they love. They do a nice job in the selection of the plays and it is affordable for an evening out.
MoreI recently saw the Wizard of Oz here. I really enjoyed it. The theater is small but it's cozy. I love that some of the chairs don't have arms. Then you can find a seat that fits your comfort level. Snacks and drinks are available during intermission.
MoreAmateur actors that make you feel you are on Broadway. Excellent entertainment! Every town needs a place like this one to bring youngsters to see what a play is like. Positive school activity! You can get promotional coupons as well on their website. Very insightful.
MoreThis small theater in downtown Michigan City provides us a great evening of entertainment. My family went to see their version of Dracula. The show was well done and the acting was good. Prices were reasonable and refreshments at break were available for a donation. The theater probably sits around 80 people, so you get to be right up close with the action on stage. Definitely worth checking out.
