tripadvisorOne of the most boring zoos I have ever been too. More than half of the animals are never there or just not out. The food used to be good, now it sucks. If you're from out of town, dont waste your money. Even the events are a waste. Definitely dont go to zoo boo either. Last year was terrible and boring. All the animals were asleep. There was zero direction on where to go for candy. It was a mess. Everyone just walked around in the dark or stood in a 10 mile line to get a handful of candy. Never again.
MoreIt’s a very pleasant experience. I’ve lived here. All my life in the zoo has grown tremendously. I like the fact that even though itwas the middle of the afternoon and pretty warm, there was place for the animals to find shade so they were still outside where you could see them. It’s not a big zoo so you can’t expect a lot of exotic animals, but it’s really nice.
MoreThe Potawatomi Zoo is a nice zoo to visit with the family or just by yourself. There are a wide variety of animal exhibits. I especially enjoyed the Lion exhibit. While I happened to be by the Lion's, the male Lion started to roar which caused the two female Lion's to roar along with him. The sound is incredible and so very loud, loved it! The day I went it was raining, but the animals were all still out and enjoying the cooler weather. The restaurant by the Bear was neat as you could watch them play as you ate. The Zoo has a nice Train Ride and Carousel. When I went they were having their Illumination event so there were beautiful animal Illumination's all over the zoo to view. The Zoo was clean and the Exhibits were nice. I would highly recommend the Zoo if you are in the area, or plan a trip there like I did!
MoreOur family has come here regularly for 9 years. This year, our family had the pleasure to be greeted by Ambrielle at the front desk! Ambrielle immediately stood out with her exceptional customer service. Ambrielle respectfully addressed my wife as “ma’am” multiple times. She brightened the room by engaging kindly with my kids. She was very kind, polite and genuinely professional. Potawatomi zoo has a rock star; keep up the great work Ambrielle!
MoreWe have visited this zoo every year for the past 4 years with our daughter, and this year we got to bring our 10 month old son as well, we loveeee this place. It’s affordable, there is plenty of animals to see.You get to feed the giraffes, and the goats and alpacas and fish. They are always expanding to bring new and exciting things to the zoo. A great place to go with young kids, there is a train ride through the zoo and a carousel. The staff is always soo friendly and helpful. There are strollers and wagons just inside the door that you can use so you don’t have to bring your own if you don’t want to. Plenty of shaded areas to rest if you get too hot in the summer. 10/10 recommend
