There are Revolutionary War hero buried here. Two that I know of one is my GGGGGrandfather Isaac Ross. His family is also buried there with him. There is quite a bit of damage to graves from animals digging under the stones and there has been no restoration on any of the important stones. Several stones that I was looking for were missing entirely. The Grandparents of President William McKinley are remembered with an unless and a bronze plaque.Enoch Weiss, one of only 5 Hoosiers to ever win the Congressional Medal of Honor, is buried here. He was honored for his valor in 1869.They have maps in a holder on the Sexton's House at the main gate.

It was so beautiful! Would love to get buried here someday!! Although parking was bad I’m not sure I’d need it in the afterlife.

Many people who live in the Michiana area don't even know this cemetery exists! It's a fun place to drive through and look at all the names on the old markers as so many of them are familiar street names. There has been an effort in recent years to repair and keep this cemetery clean and appealing. Plenty of Studebakers as well as other notable South Bend natives including Schuylar Colfax are buried here.
