Nice venue to host an event. Has a section on the lower floor where food can be served with a great view of the river and a mini waterfall. There are convention rooms that have movable walls so they can be used for both smaller groups - or for over a couple hundred people. There's even an art gallery - gives something for break time to see.
MoreI was a vendor at a teacher’s conference held at Century Center Convention Center in South Bend. The meeting rooms were set up with linen tablecloths, the great rooms were ready for large groups, the snacks and concessions were delicious, hallways and bathrooms were spotless. Elevators are available, and the grand staircase makes you feel like you are at the ball. Century Center is in downtown South Bend along the St. Joseph River, which is adds a breathtaking view wherever you look. If you are looking for a grand venue, look at Century Center.
MoreWe were present in this facility as a vendor of the Michiana Home Show. They did a good job keeping the facility and bathrooms clean all the time. There was zero hot water in the bathrooms and that is why a 4 star instead of a 5 star. They really should have escalators instead of stairs but it's OK.
MoreThe ballroom is very large with adequate room for all the attendees and vendor displays. The breakout rooms were kinda small and seemed to be stuffy with more air flow needed. I had 5 meals there and in my opinion they could have been better in quality and selection. All the meals were buffet style and reminded me of the type of food I've got at Indiana State Parks inns.
Moreattended the art show this Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. As far as convention centers go this is very nice. Well designed in a great setting in a convenient location.
