We had a dinner here with our very young grandchildren and their parents. Food was excellent (we did build your own burgers), with various sides and the kids enjoyed some chicken tenders. Overall, a reasonably priced meal for 5 of us.

I was invited to Mt. Chalet by a close friend who loves the place. It was my first time and it will not be the last. The Maurice Salad was very good and our Server, Rose, was very Professional and superb in her service to us. We enjoyed a little banter back and forth with her. She has a great sense of humor and holds her own. DD

We’ve been coming here for years with varying experiences but always reasonably good service and pretty good food. In the last couple weeks we’ve been here twice and while food was decent-Service deteriorated to the point of no return. The irony is the food was really good but when you have to chase down the waiter or bartender or whomever it sullies the experience. We’re business owners so we’re more sympathetic Than most about the difficulties of hiring. But the employees on the staff today have been there for years. Unfortunately the quality of the food could not surpass the poor experience. Hope they straighten it out.

Took my son here for a burger, beer and college basketball over the weekend. He has never been and I have not been for at least 15 years. They have not lost one step. Both burgers were outstanding. The fries are the most any restaurant will provide and the beers are ice cold and they keep them coming. Not sure why I have been gone for 15 years, but it won’t be another 15 until I am back.

Mt. Chalet is the local pub with decent pub food and a great selection of spirits and draft beer. I love their fish tacos and they have decent wings as well! Small patio seating available and parking both on Woodward and a parking lot in the back! One of my faves in Birmingham for casual fair!
