When the Japanese characters for 'Harumi' are defined in English, it roughly translates to 'Springtime Beauty'. Harumi is also a very popular girl's name in Japan, but despite the origins of the name, this sushi bar exemplifies fresh, springtime beauty on all its plates. The first thing diners will notice is that their favorite rolls use Black Rice, a much healthier version of the familiar white rice. The black rice when cooked subsequently turns a dark purple color, something which makes the rolls stand out on the plate. All of the familiar rolls are on the menu in addition to some signature ones like the massive Oh My God Roll which comes with perfectly smoked eel or the tangy Mango Crunch served with a soy glaze. The Chirashi here is also a good bet and if you order it, this seafood rice hodgepodge will definitely make you return.
