My daughter’s wedding was at Powel last weekend, we had 130 guests that traveled from all over to be there. Watch your stuff! Seems to be a common occurrence at this venue. Wish we had read the reviews ahead of time. We had two wallets stolen and a pair of custom oakley sunglasses. Also, a very shady female lurking, that wore a sling, appeared as a “guest,” orWorker, we could not tell the difference. We filed a police report and we now have a picture of her we found in a video. Also watch out if you receive calls to retrieve your stolen items the next day, we did have this happen, and the groom knew better to not fall into that trap of saying “yes” to anything they ask you. Sets up permission to access your cards. So disappointing, the day was amazing and to have it end this way. Lock your stuff up!! There are rooms everywhere and peoplewandering everywhere. You would never have a clue! Looks like a previous wedding also posted back in 2022. I am sure there are plenty more that just have not thought to do a review, but whomever is doing this, has a system in place. So unfortunate, with the amount of money spent on a wedding here, your guests and belongings should be protected!!

The Powel Crosley is one of my favorite florida wedding venues! I had the opportunity to capture a wedding editorial here and everything was breathtaking. From the waterfront views, to the historic venue! It is the perfect Venue to have a timeless wedding feel on the shores of the Sarasota Bay! I hope I have more opportunities to work with more couples here and capture their love stories in a genuine way!

I was part of the wedding party and the management stole items from the grooms wedding party room and never let anyone know they removed personal property from the room. Hours later we learned the manager did it but it was really shady how they took things and never let anyone know-dont leave your personal belongings within reach of the estates employees-shady shady things happen and disappear. They ruined my night and even when made aware never approached anyone and let them know they took things from the wedding party dressing room-they stole from me when no one was around.

We were at a wedding here last Monday and what a beautiful wedding venue! They were very accommodating and very helpful on anything that we needed while we were there. The only complaint I would have and it is a small one is that it had rained earlier in the day and had stopped for the wedding. They sat the wedding guest's chairs in the lawn and everyone was sinking in the mud when they sat down and the chairs were still wet while we were being sat. It is such a beautiful place that they should take the time and invest in concrete or a patio for the area where guest's sit for the wedding.

We went there for a wedding and it was stunning. Beautiful overlook of Sarasota Bay. Absolutely breathtaking!
