tripadvisorLet me first say that AJ Croce and his band were Phenomenal!!!! The theater, itself, needed a bit of refurbishing. The cupholder on my chair had a half-eaten piece of toast in it..... The staff, while quite friendly, were disorganized. I understand that it is just a local group, but ticket confusion could have been avoided had there been more preparation for the event. All in all, it was a nice evening.
MoreThe RRCA offers a variety of services to the community including music lessons, dance and ballet lessons and stage entertainment. It was originally a movie theater that the community has converted into a nice theater for stage and other uses.
MoreIt was a nice old time theater. Probably not as good as the old original one, but it is a nice venue. Clean and comfortable, it's done up nicely.
MoreThis theater has all the feel of an old original theater, seats are not that comfortable if you are a bigger person.
MoreSaw the Monroe Community Players perform Fiddler on the Roof on 7/23/16 with two other couples. The star of the show was a tall young man playing Tevya, and he did an exceptional job.The venue can be a bit small, but the lighting and sound systems are surprisingly good, and the old renovated theater allows the actors to march up and down the aisles, making you feel more involved as they look you in the eye.We were there on a 90+ degree night. The air conditioning was barely detectable, which increased their beverage sales, I'm sure. All in all, I would recommend both the venue and the Players to anyone for an enjoyable experience.
