Canyon Road and contemporary art go hand in hand, and Pippin is one of the many galleries that present this art style in Santa Fe. On display, visitors will find abstract paintings and surrealistic sculptures, where everything is seemingly placed in the right spot. In addition to rotating exhibits, the gallery is open seven days a week and it hosts events throughout the month which include art crawls, festivals, showings, parties, etc.

tripadvisorNo trip to Canyon Road is complete without a stop here. The wind sculptures are fascinating in all the ways they gather the wind to create motion. The water features are always beautiful, sometimes even stunning.
More´Tis a glorious Autumn day with abundant sun and mid- sixties temperatures. Pippin Contemporary fine art gallery on Historic Canyon Rd. in Santa Fe, NM - contemporary paintings & sculpture in bronze, metal, glass & stone for home, ... We begin our Canyon Road experience at Pippin Contemporary fine art gallery. Many, many sculptures appeal to us.
MoreI unfortunately had a brief period of time to visit having looked for it unsuccessfully at #200. I found it later up the street at 409. The metal sculptures in front are a modernistic style and attractive. The paintings I examined near the entrance appeared to be painted on metal and were colorful abstracts, but not what I was looking for. Worth a stop especially if you have time to browse and ask questions.
MoreThe Pippin Contemorary gallery has some wonderful pieces and artist. If you are on Canyon Road you should definitely stop in. I bought a couple beautiful pieces from Andrea. She was great to work with. Not pushy at all. They have lots of different styles. Something for everyone.
MorePippin Contemporary stands at the bottom of Canyon Road on the right as one starts up the road. I walked past it, focusing instead on what was ahead as we started our recent gallery visits. But I did not miss the small building on my return. Inside, I found Kelly Skeen, the woman looking after the gallery that day, to be cordial, friendly and professional. At some galleries, staff gave me a dismissive glance when I entered. Here, Kelly immediately got up from her desk, greeted me and continued to discuss the art even after discerning that I was simply looking. When I visited, there was a wonderful exhibition of Guilloume's work. He creates both paintings and sculpture, and I found myself fascinated with the small, modernistic sculptures of people, which reminded me of many residents that I met in his native Colombia. The show closes July 31, 2015 but some of his work may continue to be shown in the gallery. The artist Aleta Pippin owns the gallery and many of her paintings are on display. I stood in front of each one, captivated by the vibrant colors and energy. My favorite painting by her goes for six figures and is not for sale. Generally, both the paintings and sculptures here go for much less, but Pippen Contemporary is still a higher-end establishment. I highly recommend a stop at this gallery.
