tripadvisorThis was our third trip on the Rockin Thunder River Tours. Each time we did a different tour and each had their own unique experiences. Our latest trip was the luncheon trip to Captain's Quarters and everything was set up for an enjoyable lunch. Great stories from Captain Paul & Doug. Hopefully we can make the overnight trip to Frankfort in the future. Highly recommend any of the tour packages.
MoreWife and I climbed aboard the beautiful and comfortable jet boat! I was expecting loud and fast! What I received was a quiet, enjoyable and entertaining ride down the Ohio river! It was Awesome! The captain and his mate gave us, wildlife, history, great stories, gorgeous views and an awesome restaurant to break the trip up with some wonderful food! Book early as I am sure all the different lengths of trips will be booked full like the one we were on! Thank you for a unique way to see Madison and more!
MoreWe specifically went to Madison for the 5PM river tour. We weren't sure what to expect, but we got more than we anticipated. It was more than a sightseeing tour, it was a learn something about the history of and life on the river tour. The crew was very knowledgeable about the history of that stretch of the river and they told the stories in a way that kept your attention. It was very fun. I would do it again.
MoreThe lunch excursion was more than we could have hoped for! We saw several bald eagles and even one in flight.Lunch at the Captain's Quarters was wonderful and we even had a reserved tent by the river. Caption Jasper and Captain Paige entertained us with anecdotes about the area. They kept us laughing. It was a fun time! I'd love to do more cruises in the future!
MoreHi, Justin and Page were excellent. We heard great stories of the river and river banks on both Indiana and Kentucky sides. They pointed out eagles. Some of us saw a golden eagle on our own. Justin and Page made our trip so much more fun than just watching things ourselves. Captains Quarters and Dana both were attractive, delicious and efficient. It could not have been a better experience. A little boy walked up to the big Captain statue at the outdoor seating. He looked and looked and then saluted and ran back to his party . So sweet. Linda and Jim Wenning.
