This is the second visit to this establishment. Loved it both times. I am particularly addicted to the Shrimp and Grits. My husband tries different things and all have been wonderful. Service both times was pretty slow and waitresses were rather overworked/inattentive, but worth it because we love the food.

We visited with friends who also had previously enjoyed Creole Gallery. We were disappointed that it basically has turned into another burger joint that's gone uptown in prices and alcohol offerings but otherwise 'downtown.' A disappointment since it previously had provided a niche no one else had previously filled.

Hard to select one item from the menu. Food was multilayered in both tastes and textures. Space is charming and comfortable. Ate at the bar to save time but ended up lingering over good coffee. Will definitely return to try other entrees and sample from the large wall of spirits..

...hhmm let me think, a good reason to go to The Creole....Got it! Because its today! Place is cozy, good for dates, good for families, good for friends. Staff is smart and you are actually waited on. Staff explains, recommends, listens and encourages gently. Portions are fair, food is lick-your-plate-you-missed-that delicious. On the menu what sounds like a hearty portion *is*, what doesn't, isn't. All servings come with plenty of time to savor, taste, enjoy, share and speak with your table. Lolly gagging, laughing, enjoying yourselves are all encouraged.
