Taken the morning we departed following a hard frost. Perfect timing!

Great campground, very clean and it is nice to be able to walk around lake. It is close to everything in Kalamazoo.

The park is immaculate and well maintained. Several paved walking paths, full hook ups, a lake and small island. Staff is terrific! Recommend it for young and old!

The staff was very nice and friendly. We rented a pavilion and they made sure it was us and would randomly check on us. The park was nice parking was easy. The only thing they really need is a bathroom by the three pavilions, it’s a far walk for elderly to go down by the beach. Also it’s not very safe considering how wet it was.

A 30+ site campground run by Kalamazoo County that appears to be designed for RVs and travel trailers. Sites are good sized, each with concrete pad, and full hookup. Around a third are pull through and the rest back in.Location on north side of Kalamazoo is nice since it provides relatively easy access to city activities but sits on the edge of a nature preserve. First night there, just as we were getting ready to turn out the light for bed (11pm) and saying what a nice, quiet place this was, a train went by blowing its whistle. It was the last and only time we heard it in our 5 days there.Staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean and both shower area and stalls good sized. We'll definitely be back.(Our son was getting married at the nature preserve on Memorial Day weekend. The campground was already booked when we tried to make a reservation back in February. But they put us on their waiting list (3rd in line). We were very excited when we received a call the week of the wedding to say they had a cancellation. Took away a lot of stress being less than 5 minutes from the venue instead of 25. Great follow through by the county staff).
