Reviews
tripadvisorThe name on the door says Four Seasons; uniforms on employees say Four Seasons but this is unlike other Four Seasons I have visited before. I have visited NY Four Seasons downtown, Lisbon Four Seasons, Madrid Four Seasons, Bali at Jimbaran Bay Four Seasons, London Park Lane Four Seasons to name a few. This one is not anywhere near in quality and class as your typical Four Seasons. They should take the name off the door. Here are my notes and reviews:1. Check-in a 4 out of 52. Arrival in room, no itinerary or letter stating my spa appointment, reservation for car, etc.3. Room corner room nice but designer was not involved with bathroom design because sink faucet in bathroom reached half way out of sink. Every time I used the sink to wash my face, water got everywhere on my shirt, all around the sink, poor design.4. Calling for assistance front desk, concierge, bell desk no answer on multiple days at various times throughout the day. The phone rang for a good 10 minutes with no response. When someone answered, they did not know what room I was in, my name or anything. Finally after waiting 1/2 hour, I went downstairs to pick up my own food deliveries. 1 out of 55. Room dining - called at 2pm to schedule a delivery for 4:30 because I wanted to nap and didn’t want to wait for them to come. By 5pm no delivery. I called and they said oh yeah we meant to call you to confirm if ok to deliver. 1 out of 5.6. When I set up transportation for airport on departure date, no one confirmed that the time was still good. Since I did not get itinerary upon arrival, I thought they forgot. Driver called me at 9:30 to say they were there to pick me up for airport. I did not know if they were coming. No one answered the phone at concierge or front desk day before for me to confirm ride, see 4 above. 7. The only bright note is housekeeping ladies who were all kind and accommodating. They smiled, got me tea bags, extra towels, extra waters. 5 out of 5.No one person did a bad job but overall just poor service other than housekeeping,Save your money and don’t come to this Four Seasons in Denver. Generally you get what you pay for but here, you pay a lot of money and get bad service. Even if I receive a complimentary stay it will not make me want to come back here again.
MoreWe chose the Four Seasons for two nights in Denver. Good location, many places reachable by a short stroll. Our corner king was of decent size with a functional layout - and some patina. The bar serves very tasty cocktails, and breakfast was great too. That said, while our stay was comfortable and flawless, this property felt a touch below the other Four Seasons we’ve experienced around the world. That certain something that makes a stay memorable was missing.Side note: if you order room service to your $900+-a-night room, expect not only a 20% service charge but also a $9 delivery fee. We obviously like to splurge on hotels, but the add-on fees are becoming increasingly absurd. I miss the days when an expensive room came with a few frills included...
MoreI write this review with disappointment because I have had a long relationship with the Four Seasons Denver. My wife and I were married here five years ago, and over the years I have hosted multiple Christmas parties and reserved room blocks for family, friends, and business associates. The Four Seasons was once my go-to luxury hotel in Denver, but unfortunately, the property today feels very different from the one I remember. The most concerning issue during our recent stay was cleanliness. Upon checking into our room, we found lipstick and makeup stains on the bedding and pillowcases. There were also long strands of hair in the bathroom and visible stains on the bathroom rugs. At any hotel this would be disappointing, but at a property carrying the Four Seasons name, it is simply unacceptable.Equally disappointing was the level of service. In the past, the service at the Four Seasons Denver was exceptional and truly differentiated the hotel from its competitors. Staff consistently anticipated guests' needs and delivered a memorable luxury experience. During this visit, however, the service felt average. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't the level of hospitality that justifies Four Seasons pricing. While I appreciate the renovation completed in 2020, it is clear that the guest room bathrooms were largely left untouched. The disconnect between the updated bedrooms and the dated bathrooms is noticeable. The modern furniture and cool contemporary tones in the bedroom do not match the color palette and finishes in the bathrooms. The countertops, bathtubs, and showers show visible wear, including scratches and dents, which detract from the luxury feel. Even some of the furniture installed during the renovation is already showing significant signs of age. This review is difficult to write because I genuinely want this property to succeed. The Four Seasons Denver was the setting for one of the most important days of my life, and for years I enthusiastically recommended it to others. Unfortunately, after this most recent stay, I can no longer make that recommendation with confidence.I strongly encourage management to take a hard look at the current guest experience and make the investments necessary to restore the property to the standards that built the Four Seasons reputation. Cleanliness, attention to detail, room maintenance, and exceptional service are not optional at a luxury hotel; they are the expectation. As a loyal former guest, event host, and someone who has celebrated major life moments at this property, I hope this feedback serves as a call to action. Denver deserves a Four Seasons that lives up to the brand's legacy, and longtime guests deserve to see this hotel return to the level of excellence that made it special.
MoreI’m genuinely disappointed with how Four Seasons Denver is advertising its “Stay Longer – 3rd Night Free” promotion. When attempting to book the offer, every date I tried showed no availability for the promotional rate… yet rooms were readily available for those same dates at the standard price.I then called the hotel directly, assuming they could simply tell me which dates actually qualified for the promotion. Instead, I was told they could not tell me when the offer was available, could not provide dates when I could actually book it, and could only “happily recommend” rooms at the standard rate.So you advertise a third-night-free offer, provide no meaningful way for a customer to determine when it can actually be used, show rooms as unavailable under the promotion while simultaneously selling those rooms at full price, and then direct customers to call — only for your staff to be unable to identify a single qualifying date? What exactly is the purpose of the promotion, then?I’ve stayed at luxury hotels and resorts around the world, and this is not the level of transparency I would expect from the Four Seasons brand. Luxury hospitality should be about exceptional service and trust, not promotions that feel designed to get customers through the door only to steer them toward the standard rate.If availability for the promotion is extremely limited, disclose the eligible dates or blackout periods clearly. If the hotel cannot identify when the promotion can actually be booked, it shouldn’t be advertised as though it’s a meaningful offer.Very disappointing experience before I even had the opportunity to become a guest.
MoreI had a corner room on the 13th floor (one of the only hotels I've been that has one) with a nice view of Denver and the mountains in the distance. Nice big bathroom and the room itself was spacious. Had a bit of trouble figuring out how to work the various lamps which have no switches, but you tap on them and they go on and off. Nice pool area with food during the day. Pool is open till 9. Gym is 24/7 and it's a good one like you would expect in a good hotel. There is a steam room with whirlpool and bathing suit spinner open till 7:30. Dinner in the Edge restaurant was fine. Breakfast was also fairly decent but I was perturbed that the smoked salmon was frozen. This hotel was constructed in 2010 and they could have used a bit more insulation between rooms. I could hear from my bed the conversations next door and someone with a bad cough either next door or further down the hall. You can get a NY Times at the front desk. Hotel was apologetic about the noise and offered me a free upgrade for my next visit. Other than these few minor points, the hotel is a good one. It's close both to the convention center and to Larimer Square.
