tripadvisorWill not go back. Dirty the lifts did not look in very good shape. I am a beginner skier and went up the only lift that had a green sign on it. Well when I get up to the top the green was closed and had to try and get down a blue run. I told a few people and know one seemed to know what was going on. I paid for a fun day with the family and was stuck on the magic carpet because non of their green runs were open. Big safety hazard for everyone. Waist of money.
MoreI love the natural hills and slopes here. They do a great job making snow when mother nature doesn't help, I was able to get out about 15 times this year, almost exclusively because of their ability to make snow and groom the hills. There is another ski area nearby, but the hills is completely man made and lakes the natural feel of Timber Ridge. Two terrain parks for the daring. Several bunny hills one with the moving belt lift for easy learner use. And a tubing park, again with magic carpet lift. I'm so happy to have such a great place to go in the winter, highly recommend!
MoreMy daughter bought a 2023 season pass for Timber Ridge Ski Area for $550, she never received her pass, so she called 269-694-9449 and spoke with Karen who told her she never bought a pass! My daughter gave them the confirmation number that she received from the internet, after purchase. Karen said they would have to look into it. Karen was not helpful during the process. My daughter had to keep calling to see the status. Karen kept saying Amy the General Manager would look into it. Still no response. My daughter continued to call and finally they found the transaction but by this time her and Karen had, had it with each. Karen was not helpful, rude and unprofessional threw out the process. (can't state that enough) So my daughter was done with it and asked for a refund. LOL, guess what Karen told her..... their is NO REFUND! My daughter asked where does it say their is no refund, Karen told her, it doesn't say it anywhere, that she is telling her their is no refund. Dorothy asked who she needs to speak to for a refund. Karen told her Amy the General Manager again. Well we know how that turned out trying to reach Amy from the begining of this, Amy is missing in action, once again! Karen explained that they are not open for the season yet (like 10 different times she mentioned that in the conversation) that Amy the General Manager does not keep normal 10-4 office hours. My daughter asked for Amy's direct number, Karen said she doesn't have one. Timber Ridge owner's please simply give my daughter a refund for her season pass, so we do not have to escalate this any further. If Karen and Amy could of handled this professionally this review would of never been written. First time I have EVER written a review on Trip Advisory. Family owned businesses are near and dear to my heart, sorry for the review. I spoke with Karen myself to help my daughter and I recieved the same push back with Karen. Unreal!
MoreWell it was time to get down here again after four years and with 3 inches of fresh snow I had fresh tracks here and there and it was a good time for $22.50 senior rate yes half price 60 and over. The Hemlock Trail actually does give you a little excitement and we’re 3 inches of fresh snow after some rain recently Friday morning was nice and quiet. It is a retro 60 year old ski area but being as old as it is I am a Lyft not guy and I like to ride the 51 year old Heron Poma floating bullwheel.I am waiting for the quad to open up and have been here from 11 o’clock yes it gets bored after a few hours but I stopped in and had a two hearted beer to hold me over.I think once every four years is good here until I get my grandkids a Becca out here the six year old they would love this place but it’s a long drive from north of Grand Rapids hour and a half, yes bittersweet is Scott more terrain and hot more lifts but being an old man I like these old lifts here.
MoreI absolutely loved Timber Ridge. Being a tween, it was my first time skiing, but I had a great time! I came five times over the winter, and almost every time, most lifts were open. I think the fun atmosphere made me become a better skier. Super well groomed, great intermediate and beginner runs. The staff are helpful and the runs are fun! I hope to visit again!
