I love these buildings and they have been nicely restored. This is a good place to visit and learn about the local area. We loved it. It is right in the Niles downtown area, so you can walk into town afterwards and grab some candy or chocolate at the specialty candy store, or some tea at the specialty teahouse a few doors down.

This is a wonderful museum that not only looks at Niles, but this entire area. The staff has recently upgraded many of the exhibits and have made it easy to navigate. If you make it to the museum, do ask about touring the Chapin Mansion next door.

This is a hidden treasure in our small town. What a great way to spend a few hours learning with children.

We thought it was an interesting place. It is small could probably go through it in an hour. It is next to the Old Chapin Mansion that was used as City Hall for awhile. Maybe it was part of the carriage house. The Mansion looks really cool but I have never been inside it.
