What a treat! Went to a movie I've never seen before (Dazed and Confused) and sat among a near sold out crowd of enthusiastic fans. The staff was great - there was a specialty drink available to members ($15/year bar privileges buys a lot of fun!), great popcorn, great coffee, and the buzz from the staff and crowd was infectious. The crowd offered quotes, lots of laughter, and applause during the film which just doesn't happen elsewhere. This isn't an ordinary theatre, it's an experience! I've also been to quieter movies here, and the audience was respectful but still invested. You're not going to get food brought to your seats, but you will have a unique and memorable time here.

I went to the Wealthy Theatre during the Latin American Film Festival, and I had a great time. I went in the morning, so there were a lot of children in the theatre, but the staff and volunteers were very welcoming and the theatre space itself was adorable. I highly recommend checking out the Wealthy Theatre if you are ever in GR.

Met a large group of people to watch the River City Improv show. Typical narrow old theater seats but our group fit fine. Very nice setting for the show style. Had become a member to buy a beer, we did. With a look and maybe a return.

Great place in Eastown to catch a concert. I went to the John Prine tribute there and it was an enjoyable evening of his music. Cost is generally $15-20/person. You must have a membership to purchase alcoholic drinks, otherwise, they do have soda and popcorn.
