tripadvisorThis place is very unprofessional. The management is amateur and will ask you to leave without telling you why or giving any reasons. They will also threaten you by calling the police if you don't immediately comply with their unscrupulous demands. The GM that talked to me was obviously a very insecure and bitter individual. This place is a dump and a stain on the thriving Grand Rapids bar scene. Do not give them your business. The bouncer was chill though.
MoreThough this is very much a dive bar, it's a place that two of my very dear friends hold as a very special place for them. And after coming to this bar a few times, I'm sure there are a lot more people out there that also share the same love for it as my friends do. I can't really exactly say what is so unique about this bar, I mean it might be that the lights are on, it's not a dark place by any means. It could also be the quirky photos covering the walls especially the one that says Punta Cana, Mexico But I really think it's the people that work there is one of the main reasons why it's so great. I've only been here a few times but have always been treated like family here. Pros: • Small, intimate dive bar • Relatively cheap drinks • Deep fried bar food, you can't go wrong Cons: N/A
MoreSnowy day in GR and what a great lunch here with a brew. I had a vanilla Java porter with my mini corn dogs and mac & cheese bites. They have large tvs and get busy at this time as well. Check it out to see this side of the town.
MoreSo the beer is cold and the food is really good. We stopped after a family zoo visit and had chicken strips, the beef dip, and the sausages. Everything was awesome and fresh. We were nicely surprised it was not true bar food. It was great bar food.
MorePutt Putt's is a convenient way point close to the Kent Trails bike path which runs along the Grand River past Millenium Park and into Grand Rapids. It's a little scruffy and has the tiniest bathroom stalls ever, but service is good and the food is great bar fare. Recently on a Saturday afternoon, we were offered free spicy popcorn and then chocolate dipped seafoam after our meals. Yummy! I had the perch and hubby had the kielbasa with sauerkraut plate. Both were fantastic and our servers at all visits were attentive and fun.
