I stopped at the Courthouse while visiting Des Moines. I was taken by the beauty of the building and circled back after it got dark. It was nice to see it lit up as well.

This might have been where I had to appear for my traffic violation....no where to park, middle of downtown, didn't know where to go.......Don't want to see it again......

An excellent example of early 20th c. Des Moines architecture. Located at the end of historic and popular Court Avenue, it anchors the west end of old downtown. Looks great with the setting sun.

I want to go there to take a look as I seen the picture online, it was beautiful, however, when we arrived there, it just past 4:30pm which is the closing time, so I am not able to enter to take a look, yet, I took some picture outside, and the building is beautiful, and I took the picture of it in different direction, different angles. if you go to Des Moines, don't miss it, should go inside to take a look as well.

Some may not like visiting this building but it is gorgeous. The architecture is beautiful and it has very beautiful ceilings and art work throughout it. The elevators are slow, but they will get you to the next floor and back down. It is an old building that needs to have a few updates done on it. They have been working on this to improve it and preserve the beauty.
