Awesome time great experience with shop owners

I like East Village alot. I was here for 4th of July week. I hiked alot on July 4th, sure glad I did so. Perfect time to walk as most store fronts were closed. Hardly any traffic which was tranquility- to just stroll.I've driven on these streets and my walk allowed me to see so much more. Lots of nice cool outdoor patio diningI walked up to the Capitol and I recommend you do so, great photo opportunity. Iowa is a very clean state, I feel safe walking about.

This district is a few stores, some of which are not open on the weekends. There are also a few bars/restaurants. It took us about 20 minutes to walk the area. A few cute boutiques, but that is about it.

Walked along the main streets and visited a few stores and cafes, nice variety, easy to access from downtown

So many restaurants and drinking establishments that meet anything someone may want to eat or drink. Short walk to downtown and the ballpark.
