Hampton Inn 100% satisfaction guarantee does NOT apply here. $215 per night including taxes and fees x 4 nights got me.1. Room right next to elevator (who needs sleep)2. AC that sounds like a truck is idling in my room. (The maintenance guy did make it better the next day)3. Bathroom that smells strongly of mold but it is not visible. It probably comes from the bathroom ventilation.4. Worn out sheets that come off the bed if you toss and turn in the night.5. Room cleaning and re-stocking only if you request it. When you do request it, you are told we don't have time because we are booked up.6. Ice machine that doesn't work. You can use one on another floor The maintenance guy is too busy to look at it.7. Dirtiest Hampton Inn room I've ever stayed at.8. Excuses for everything that we are full and we don't have time o deal with your problems.I stayed here last year and was quite happy with this hotel. This place has changed significantly for the worst in the last year. I have one more night in this place. Can't wait for the next surprise.

The poor reviews shown on TA do not reflect my family’s experience At All. While the property is older, nothing was dusty, crusty, or musty in room 432. The a/c worked just fine on a summer night and our beds were very comfortable. As for the “lumpy pillows” mentioned in a negative review- the pillows are feather so maybe they aren’t what you are used to. If you would like a bigger breakfast there is a nice Perkins 700ft away. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. Our stay was just fine and a convenient, quick drive to Indianola for the National Balloon Classic.

The room was terrible. I only needed to sleep overnight to catch an early morning flight. The carpet was matted and dirty, the bathroom was rusty, the room was musty and humid. The lights were stark and everything was worn and tired. I have stayed in many Hilton properties and Hampton Inns and this one was the worst. It reinforces my preference for Marriott properties.

The hotel seemed clean and the breakfast was slightly above average for free hotel breakfast. It was in a safe area and very convenient to the airport. My reason for only 3 stars is 100% the lack of comfort of the beds. They were so uncomfortable that I woke up with my hip aching from sleeping on my side. The bed felt lumpy, squeaky, and cheap. Of the 8 total pillows in the room not a single one was even remotely comfortable. My fellow conference attendees all agreed this is not a place to get a great refreshing night of sleep. Just go stay downtown, it’s not that far!

In town for graduation with my father in his 90's. Marie at the front desk was very helpful in securing a room that fit my father's limited mobility. The hotel has many entrances that were helpful. She also gave us a perfect lunch recommendation.
