Nice central location, clean rooms, pleasant and easy check in. Decent free breakfast too!

The wildwood lodge is a wonderful place to stay. Having spent my youth at camps and also having been a camp counselor brought Back fun memories. The camp decor is everywhere with canoes, fishing gear and most tables and chairs carved out of wood. They offer maid service daily and have super breakfast that is included with the room rate From waffles, to biscuits and gravy From scrambled eggs, juices ,fruit ,great coffee , Girl Scout hot chocolate , a variety of of breakfast rolls and more are all very good. The beds are comfortable and the bedroom was very clean The staff was so warm and friendly. We talked to Jenn who had worked there for 30 years. She reflects the friendliness each staff member gave we met. The pool is cute and keeps the camp feel . Even though is in the middle of a busy business area it keeps the camp feel . Everything is provided , you do need to ask for hand lotion . I give the wildwood Lodge a top rating And will return when again in the DesMoines area .

Surprised at all the high reviews, honestly. For the high price it was worn, run down and disappointing. Old worn furniture, completely broken sofa bed, bare walls, stained mattresses, and a musty smell. They don’t allow you to bring anyone to the pool that’s not staying there, which I saw nothing about on the website or booking email. We were also not informed the hot tub was broken or we would’ve have stayed elsewhere. You can feel vibrations from people walking in the hallway from the bed, and the door closing from the next room over shakes the whole room. There is a huge crack under the door which lets in a ton of hallway light. The fire pit was also broken. Breakfast was pretty good, and the ladies working it were great. Very overpriced, would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

This is an amazing value. The rooms are large and well kept. The breakfast is great. The staff are very friendly and it is convenient to tons of restaurants. It will be our go to place whenever we pass that way.

The staff was so extremely kind and went out of their way to accommodate all of of our needs. Ronda and Carol seemed to treat us all with the utmost professional care. I would recommend this facility to anyone. We gathered here for a wedding in the area and hsd our rehearsal in the lower level. They were all attentive to all we needed.
