What a lovely park! We found lots of places to hid and escape the hub bub of downtown. The neighboring homes are real cute too!

On our way driving from Wisconsin to Colorado, my wife and I stopped at Ewing Park for a round on the disk golf course as a respite from the highway. The course was well groomed. There were two tee pads for every basket, so you could adjust the level of challenge to your ability. There were also multiple basket locations on every hole. The signage provided at each tee pad helped us to locate the baskets, though we did have to search a bit on a few holes, being unfamiliar with the Park. This was a great way for us to take a break from the unremarkable Iowa landscape during our cross-country drive. (My wife came away with a one stroke victory.)

I've been visiting this park my entire life...and that's a pretty long time. It has grown with the times and offers many family friendly activities for all ages. The lilac gardens are so beautiful and when when in full bloom the smell is amazing. There is a derby or go kart track of some sort, disc golf, lots of play equipment and areas to explore.

This park offers a separate dog park, walking trails, playground and they recycle pet waste! I have only walked the western edge of the trail but I can say it is well maintained.

Have been going to Ewing Park for decades, and decades. It is a lovely park, but the very very best is the Liliac Arboridum! It's in full bloom now into Mother's Day! Have gone bird watching in the wooded areas, nice picnic area's.
