tripadvisorThe bridge underpass at thunderbird Ave is horrible. Riders on Strava call this area the debris field. After rains it collects garbage and tons of sand which is never cleaned by the town. It’s an unsafe area that will hurt someone don’t understand why it’s never maintained. I ride over 20 miles every day that includes this area. As soon as you leave Glendale and get into Peoria the trail is beautiful. Peoria seems to take pride and maintenance is always seen as I ride thru. Come on Glendale clean up
MoreThe park offers a nice walking trail with plenty of room for people and bikes. There is plenty of open space for others to play with their pet dogs or throw frisbees, as several men were doing today. PET PEEVE: People, Please clean up after yourselves! City Park workers can set out trash cans to help avoid trash on ground. Entrance is a bit difficult in enter and exit off of main road.
MoreOnce you enter this park, you have many miles of trails available without having to deal with so much as crossing a street. Watch for the many others using this park, watch for the wildlife you can spot on occasion (hawks, coyotes, owls, rabbits), but the underpasses mean you don't have to watch for cars. Enjoy your ride!
MoreLots of trails here for hiking or biking or running. From the peaks, there are good vistas over the valley. Take your walking sticks if you like additional support. It was one of our favorite destinations for hiking. A good place to walk the dog too.
