tripadvisorIf you are going to visit LA, this is the way to tour the city. Our private tour with Wynter was amazing. So knowledgable on all touristy things about LA. Took us to the best viewing spots and catered to our needs (water, umbrellas, even detoured so I could get warmed clothes on a chilly day). I can't recommend this company and tour enough.
MoreThe tour we chose was the Build your own Tour. Carter picked us up from our Santa Monica Hotel, he was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable about the places we were visiting. We had asked if we could be dropped at the Staples centre at 5.30pm and because we spent less time at certain attractions, Carter suggested a couple more places to go to kill some time, one place was like an arts co-op store where lots of different artists sell their work, this place was amazing, we bought a couple of items, would have bought more if we didnt have to go to the Basketball. The second place he suggested was an arcade called Two-Bit Circus, this place was awesome, we had so much fun there, I would highly recommend it. We only stayed for an hour but it was brilliant.I would highly recommend LA Insider Tours, being able to build our own tour was brilliant and well worth the money spent, even when we were organising the tour, nothing was a problem. Thank you Carter and LA Insider Tour Team, this was a definate highlight on our holiday.
MoreI recently brought a group of college students back to Los Angeles for a week-long study of the cultures and communities that make the city unique. As an introduction, we did a touristy day by exploring Hollywood, the Griffith Park Observatory, and Beverly Hills. Rivers, our tour guide, did a fantastic job of keeping the group engaged, and excited about learning more about L.A.
MoreWe took a four hour tour with Scott and our family of 5. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job of looking after us and sharing his knowledge. Highly recommended
MoreFirstly, Scott was a great tour guide. He knew everything and had many stories to tell. Could have just chatted with him all day. We saw the views from the observatory, great view of the Hollywood sign. History/points of interest throughout the journey. We travelled on Mulholland drive, houses of Zac Effron, Gaga, some YouTube place which my teenage son was interested in (me not a clue but glad he was happy) loads of other celebs properties, new and old. Sunset strip/boulevard, Venice beach (oh what a grim place, unless you wish to purchase cannabis!) Santa Monica pier (not as glamorous as we had hoped but full of atmosphere) did the roller coaster and some rides. Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive. We had to change pick up arrangements at the last minute and were collected from a different location - no problem at all. We felt we saw and did so much. Scott was also incredibly patient and friendly throughout the whole time that we were sat in traffic - something that we soon realised is a day to day nightmare in parts of L.A. Scott took some very good pictures too. We were mesmerised by his stories and yes, it was expensive and you could Uber to these places but if you are new to the area, driving is not fun and you miss so much en route if someone is not pointing things out. We, as a family, would recommend customising the tour to see things that interest you - ask for Scott, he knows his stuff! Also, the vehicle was comfortable for 6 large people! Highly recommend.
