tripadvisorThis bar has fantastic food. The hamburger was full of taste . The wings are the best I have had in Iowa. What makes them the best is that they were mostly meat and just a bit of breading and the sauce was good. The nachos were stacked full as well. It was really too much food, so consider the portion sizes before ordering too much!
MoreBased on the TA reviews, we decided to check this place out with another couple. We don't get to this side of town very often as we usually don't have any reason to drive all the way from the other side of town. There were plenty of table available as it was a little early on a Saturday evening. Were greeted right away by our waitress, gave us menus and told us what beers were available. Placed our drink & food orders. My buddy was happy they had Guinness on tap! I ordered a Goose Island IPA, the ladies had Blue Moon's. Our food came out shortly. Both wife had the roast beef dipping sandwiches, they said they were very good. Could see that they were piled high with roast beef. My buddy ordered the special, cod sandwich w/fries & hush puppies. I ordered the club chicken wrap w/onion rings. It was very good, the onion rings were hot & pretty good. The piece of fish was huge. everyone gave the food a thumbs up! Prices were very reasonable. Service was good.
MoreTotal thumbs up on the wings, tenderloin and onion rings. The wings were large and juicy! The tenderloin was lightly breaded and all about the thick, lean and flavorful loin. The onion rings were were thick cut. I ordered the side salad and it was huge! On the salad was bacon, onion, tomatoes and 1/2 an egg. Really a full salad. Great bar food!
MoreGood pub food and lots of football games on the many televisions. In Cedar Rapids, Iowa and looking to watch the Seahawks? This is the spot - friendly staff and lots of locals here.
MoreWith a plethora of choices of where to watch the Cubbies play (and win) the World Series we chose wisely. Good food, cold beer, lots of TVs, affordable prices and superb atmosphere! we had a group of 8 of us and we all noted it was a great place. A bar without the bar feel of all the drunken drama that can occur. The service was a little slow when it came to the food, but not horribly bad and we understood they were busy due to the crowd. We will go back again..and again.
