tripadvisorDespite not being able to find nearby parking, we finally took a chance on a spot & ran in to the library. So glad we did. In a day full of sightseeing, this visit was my favorite. Can’t believe it was in the US & not in England. I hope they start advertising this building in Seattle tourist brochures because I want to share this gem with everyone.
MoreI absolutely adore coming to this library. Both the exterior and the upstairs reading room are architectural doppelgängers for Hogwarts (the castle in Harry Potter), and it's a stunning yet welcoming place to peruse books, study, or simply sit and soak in the knowledge. The reading room in particular has stained glass windows and high, arching ceilings, and feels more like a European castle than a US library. It's a functional library as well and they have a wide variety of books that you might need. There's a small café on the main floor as well.
MoreIt is a landmark in University of Washiongton, you should never miss it if you have a campus tour.Imagine you got magic power here, like Harry Potter, maybe, hah.Actually, you can gain magic power with so many books, life is short, never late to start reading.
MoreThe reading room in this library is super photogenic. Amazing vaulted ceiling, stained glass, lamps, etc... Be quiet in this room.
MoreMany places inspired for the Harry Potter Movies, nice place to walk around the campus and get your dose of fangirling!
