Need a little break to unwind, go check out Doctors Park. As you make your way down the hiking trail you start to hear the waves crashing. Reminded me of a rocky beach in Oregon. Nice listening to the waves and looking at the rocks that have swept up on shore. If I was local, I would definitely go often. This is a rocky beach and beautiful. This is not a white sand beach. While I visited a few people had dogs, some young children were splashing in the water and looking at rocks, others just wanting to listen to the water and enjoy some time away. I would definitely recommend checking it out. For those with physical limitations the path I took does have a steep incline and then levels out for the remaining part of the walk to the lake. There was another path you could take, I'm not sure what the incline on that section was.

Very nice park to visit if you are in the area. Nice paced trail to the beach. Well worth the trip

It is a beautiful park BUT down by the lake there is old concrete foundation (possibly old piers) with rebar sticking out of it. Children running around it. Are there no parents worried about their children falling on any of these & why has no one removed them?!?!

What is beautiful about this park is the trail through the trees. Deep shade allows for a retreat from the sun whether you enjoy that retreat by sitting on a bench or getting your daily step allowance. The path meanders down to the beach and provides a decent enough incline on the way back up that will get your heart-rate going. Another reviewer said there is a big walk down to the beach. The walk takes about 5-10 minutes on a well-maintained trail. Going down is easy. Depending on your fitness level, you may want to keep in mind that the trek back up to the parking lot may be strenuous and leave you winded. For those looking for a fitness challenge, jogging back up might be fun.One request. Help us keep our park and beach clean. There is a labor shortage and the parks may not able to secure enough staff to empty the trash bins, especially on the weekends, so trash can overflow. Pick up after yourself, your kids, and your pets. Did you forget that sweatshirt or socks? Lots of loose clothing can be seen. If possible, haul your trash off site. Or better yet, lend a hand. We need everyone's help. Bring a pair of gloves and a single grocery plastic bag and pick up whatever trash you come across. Just one grocery bag full on your way to and fro'. If you're walking along the water's edge, this will help so much, not to mention give you an extra work-out. Thank you!
