More than a century old, this mansion still stands as a testament to the the beer magnate and his subsequent legacy. Opened to the public in 1978 after extensive renovations, it remains one of the finest residences in the city and no cost or innovation would be spared in its redesign. The whole mansion had electricity and plumbing for nine bathrooms when it was built in 1892, a major architectural triumph. Today it has a state-of-the-art heating system which regulates the heat in the mansion with 16 thermostats and custom-built furniture for the majority of its rooms. Now a major tourist attraction, the mansion can also be rented for weddings, business conferences and other events.

tripadvisorThe Pabst Mansion has been on my bucket list from quite some time. Long story short, my mom's boyfriend was from Milwaukee and he always ranted and raved about Milwaukee being.the beer capital of the world. Well, upon our visit to Milwaukee, we had to go see for ourselves. The entry fee is $19.00 per adult and $17.00 for kids/teens. Tour takes about an hour and a half. Ask for Grayson... he was great. The tour was very informative!
MoreVisited with friends and did the self guided tour. Recommend getting tickets online, in advance, because it was very busy on a Saturday. I watched a few people turned away. The mansion is pretty impressive. Self guided tour was enjoyable and I interacted with knowledgeable staff. Budget 1-2 hours, if you like exploring old homes & history. Sweet and unique gift shop too.
MoreWhat a beautiful piece of history! I'm glad it was preserved. Definitely worth enjoying!
MoreWent to the Pabst Mansion on a trip to Milwaukee. Had the best docent Karen guiding us on a tour as we stepped back into the Guilded Age. This massive mansion was built in 1892 and is 20,000sf with 37 rooms and 12 bathrooms. Incredible!I recommend taking the time to view this amazing property. The tour is about 1-1/2 hours and you go through 3 floors. Everything on the first floor is original,, which is amazing when you think about it. It's so wonderful that group of women spearheaded to save this mansion. It's a gem.
MoreA must see if you are in Milwaukee. Very impressive mansion. I am so glad it was not torn down to become a parking lot. Very thankful to the ones working so hard to keep it from the wrecking ball.
