tripadvisorThe Milwaukee County Library system is a great library system if you live within the county. As a tourist attraction, this is worth stopping for a short time to check out. The entryway architecture is beautiful to look at. They have a short self-guided tour through the library itself. It looks like they offer guided tours, but we did not do this. A great free place to visit for all ages!
MoreIt’s a very beautiful old building. It’s on the street which I guess used to be the rich people street. It’s a nice walk and there is an old mansion next door.
MoreI popped in to take pics of the lobby. Very beautiful. If I lived there I would hangout there all the time.
MoreI love, love, loved the architecture, the mosaic tiled floors, the history, the displays, the lighthouse in the children's room, the beautiful painted glass window, the book sale and even the cafe!
MorePopped in to check out some reference books late on a Saturday morning and was so impressed by the helpful staff. It's been years since I visited this library and I plan to go there again after Covid.
