We enjoyed dinner in the Statehouse Bar at the Edgewater Hotel and attended the Christmas Carol put on by CTM at the Overture Center for the arts. Outstanding production with touring professional actors with local young talent. Great scenery and I loved the Capital Theatre. I see the production every year.

Although this theater is labeled Childrens, it is far from that. Each summer there are a series of acting camps which create a bevy of talented youths for regular season shows. Additionally, there are large numbers of local experienced adult actors, who volunteer their valued time, along with professional directors, paid actors, costume and set designers, make up specialists, electricians, carpenters, sound experts, etc. All this talent is carefully selected for each specific performance into the proper sized theater for the individual type of play. It is truly : A Theater For All Ages .

I have loved seeing all of the shows that this theater has put on. Some are better than others but most of them are good. I have seen midsummer nights dream, Christmas Carol, and the piano lesson shows recently. The christmas caroling and piano lessons were fantastic, especially the piano lesson. I also really enjoyed midsummer, but some of the acting didn't always stay true to one character and there were missing plot lines. The movement and effects especially with the leaves were fantastic though :)
